Kwes Re-Works The Invisible

Ahead of their live collaboration

Kwes has re-worked The Invisible’s new track ‘Protection’ ahead of a one off live performance.

Slowly but surely, The Invisible are stirring back into life. The band’s sublime second album ‘Rispah’ is set to be released on June 11th, but this is far from the only project the trio have undertaken.

Close friends with Kwes, The Invisible are set to perform with the Warp producer at next week’s Land of Kings event in Dalston. A one off collaboration, Kwes has decided to mark the show with a remix.

Looking ahead, The Invisible are also planning to unveil a unique African project. The trio recently hooked up with King Sunny Ade, creator of the juju sound. As part of the BT River of Music campaign, the British Arts Council are funding a series of free shows.

Flying out to the UK, King Sunny Ade is set to perform live in London with The Invisible on July 21st. Find out more HERE.

Finally, the video for ‘Protection’ has now emerged online. Working closely with filmmakers Mark Glenister and Joe Hunt, the clip even contained a family connection – Dave Okumu’s nephew plays the lead character.
