Rising songwriter kwassa has shared vivid new single 'Moonwalking' – tune in now.
kwassa – real name Scott Verrill – has always had incredible drive. As a teenager he took his school band to Glastonbury, becoming one of the youngest musicians on site.
Now working solo, kwassa also co-runs Hundred Club – a DIY fashion label with a 12k-strong Intagram following – while self-releasing two sterling EPs.
New single 'Moonwalking' is online now, a direct, highly personal return blessed with the fading energy of summer.
Matching bright melodies to taut, intricate word play, it's am impressive return from a songwriter doing it on his own terms.
He explains: "'Moonwalking' is one of the most direct and personal songs I’ve ever written. It felt natural for this to be the first single as kwassa and set the tone for where I'm at now. Lyrically it’s about how you don’t realise how much you needed something until you have in it, and meeting someone that catches you off guard and makes you feel higher than you’ve ever felt."
Tune in now.
