Kurt Vile has confirmed the release of new six track EP ‘So Outta Reach’ on November 7th.
An underground talent, 2011 is the year Kurt Vile won the recognition he deserves. ‘Smoke Ring For My Halo’ was a tremendous release, lysergic songwriting which bordered on the psychedelic.
Spending the summer on the road, Kurt Vile decided to take a break and had back into the studio. Collecting together five offcuts from ‘Smoke Ring For My Halo’ the singer began deconstructing the tracks with producer John Agnello.
Collecting the results on a new EP, Kurt Vile has thrown in a cover of the Bruce Springsteen track ‘Downbound Train’.
Set to be released on November 7th, the EP will be available on 12 inch vinyl and digital formats. Fans eager to catch up can buy an extended version of ‘Smoke Ring For My Halo’ which contains ‘So Outta Reach’ on a bonus second disc.
