KUČKA’s ‘Real’ Is A Wonderfully Opaque Piece Of Digital Soul

It celebrates imagination as an insight into healing...

UK-born LA-based talent KUČKA has shared her profound new single 'Real'.

The multi-disciplinary aesthete has worked with the likes of Vince Staples and Flume, before making her solo how with 'Drowning'.

A powerful piece of soul-leaning electronics, she continues this R&B influence on her latest single.

'Real' is out now, and it features KUČKA working alongside Nosaj Thing to produce something opaque, but gleaming with inner clarity.

Out now on LuckyMe, 'Real' charges into the future in an aesthetic sense, but it's also a careful nurturing of inner feelings.

Lyrically, KUČKA is utilising the imagination as a pathway to healing, something she sees as vital in this tech-saturated environment.

She explains…

“‘Real’ is about how important the imagination is in connecting to yourself and your needs. We are living in a world where we are constantly stimulated externally – but this can feel shallow after a while.”

“I want to encourage people to lose themselves in their ideas, to really go deep, no matter how weird or unusual they think they are, and see how it affects their physical body and gives way to even more potent thoughts.”
