Kode9 is set to release his new single 'Xingfu Lu' / 'Kan' through Hyperdub this April.
One of the forces behind Hyperdub, Kode9 has been quiet of late. 2011's 'Black Sun' album was released to widespread acclaim, but since then the producer has kept a relatively low profile.
Now, though, he seems to be stirring. On Twitter last night (February 27th) the Scottish born, London based producer outlined plans for a new release.
'Xingfu Lu' / 'Kan' will be available from April, and – as FACT point out – 'Xingfu Lu' has already emerged online. Indebted to Footwork – but filtered through Kode9's idiosyncratic vision – you can listen to a rip below.
