Kode9 and Burial seem to be teasing a new release as part of the fabric Originals series.
A poster has appeared in East London emblazoned with new artwork; on the artwork, a release date of July 21st has been listed. It seems to be part of the ongoing fabric Originals series, the in-house label for the pivotal Farringdon club.
No official word from either party as yet.
Burial obviously doesn’t appear live, so usually his productions are entrusted to Kode9. The Scottish artist is head of Hyperdub, the reclusive producer’s long-time home. Kode9 has sculpted several mixes featuring Burial-exclusive material in the past – notably the final instalment of the fabricLive series.
In 2018, for example, he put together a special mix for Mary Anne Hobbs.

Both parties have been relatively busy of late. Kode9’s excellent ‘Astro-Darien’ project is out now on Hyperdub, and he is currently completing a Stateside tour – indeed, there’s a fine Q&A online with him online over a Passion Of The Weiss.
Burial, meanwhile, impressed with the lengthy meditative excursions on 2022’s ‘Streetlands’ EP.
