Kings Of Leon Working On “Musically Complicated” New Album

According to Jared Followill...

Kings Of Leon bass player Jared Followill has revealed a few details about the band's new material.

Kings Of Leon are never silent for too long. The Nashville based group have developed a reputation for a good ol' fashioned work ethic, squeezing in five studio albums and countless world tours in just over a decade.

Taking time off, the band have been focussing on their Serpents & Snakes imprint. Jared Followill, though, decided to host a Twitter Q&A with fans on Friday (May 25th) and let slip a few details about their new material.

Asked what his favourite Kings Of Leon album was, the bass player replied: "Eesh. I'm in the minority of liking the last one. New one is up there though."

A fan then asked if the new material sounds like their early albums, to which Jared Followill said: "Not really. There are definitely elements of it. Songs. Not as a whole though. It's a culmination of all of them."

One inquisitive follower then enquired as to which Kings Of Leon era the new material recalled. "Vibe/feeling could be compared to the first couple. It's much more musically complicated though, so I'd have to say the last 2."
