Southern indie giants Kings Of Leon have sent an update to fans from their recording studio.
With just one album Kings Of Leon transformed themselves into globe trotting stars. ‘Only By The Night’ was so damn seductive that even the band’s homeland fell in love with it, with the album cracking the Billboard charts.
Touring the world, Kings Of Leon were transformed into rock royalty. Later this year the band are to play an enormous headline show in London’s Hyde Park, with tickets selling out within an hour.
Returning to the studio, Kings Of Leon are faced with following up one of the most defining album releases of the past few years. So… no pressure, then.
Speaking to fans on Twitter drummer Nathan Followill revealed that the band have begun sessions on a new album.
The drummer admitted he was “beaming with excitement and a hangover at the same time”, before claiming that the first day in the studio was “a musical success”.
Keeping the updates fresh, Nathan Followill told fans that Kings Of Leon had recently “put down some jams that I think you all will like”.
A recent interview with Kings Of Leon revealed some discord over the possibility of a new album. The Followills revealed that they have to write in a closed room at the same time, as no one can be trusted to share out the royalties correctly.
Kings Of Leon are to play the following show:
