Kings Of Leon have taken over the airwaves at XFM, and revealed all about their teenage days spent listening to punk records.
The band are currently basking in the red hot glow of success, with new album ‘Only By The Night’ zooming straight into the British number one slot with 80,000 copies sold on the first day. Matthew and Jared Followil have taken over XFM, and revealed that they used to love US punk group The Offspring, saying “me and Matthew used to pick up a little change back in the day, do a little moshing, y’know. .. ‘Self Esteem’ is a badass rocker”.
The band were obviously in the mood for candor, also revealing an encounter with a New York art rock legend. “We actually saw one of the guys from Talking Heads in the hotel bar last night. He seemed pretty cool. In fact , he was a little too cool. He didn’t even look at us and we were begging for it!”
