Kings Of Leon are to be the subject of a new career length documentary ‘Talihina Sky’.
Kings Of Leon are now one of the biggest guitar groups around. Latest album ‘Come Around Sundown’ cemented their place in the United States, whilst also topping charts around the globe.
The Followills have risen from humble origins. Initially a brotherly combo from Nashville the band were written off as Strokes wannabes, before managing to cement a position of their own in the rock pantheon.
ClashMusic has been there every step of the way. Kings Of Leon earned a front cover on Vibe – the precursor to the full Clash Magazine. Since then, the Followills have been on the cover twice, charting their career in the process.
Now a new documentary has been completed telling the story in its entirety. ‘Talihina Sky’ was completed earlier this year, with Kings Of Leon taking part to give a series of intimate interviews.
The film follows the band to their mammoth success, and is due to premiere later this year. ‘Talihina Sky’ is set to be shown as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, kicking off this summer.
Taking place on June 25th, the premiere uses the Edinburgh Festival Theatre and the band themselves will be in attendance.
A European premiere, ‘Talihina Sky’ will be beamed to more than 150 cinemas nationwide with a live Q&A featuring Kings Of Leon himself.
‘Talihina Sky’ will premiere on June 25th.
