King Princess Shares New Song ‘The Bend’

Tune in now...

King Princess has shared new song ‘The Bend’.

The American artist returned last year, sharing second album ‘Hold On Baby’ to magnificent acclaim. At the time, Clash writer Emily Swingle wrote that it “perfectly builds upon the sound King Princess forged for herself on her 2019 debut. Packed with personality and innovative sounds, this is an incredibly strong release. As the title-track interlude jokes, Straus is ‘a clown that needs attention…’ and we definitely think you should heed her words – King Princess is crafting sounds that most definitely deserve your time.”

Seemingly her creativity remains undimmed, with King Princess sharing something new. ‘The Bend’ is online now, a subtle, engaging piece of pop that speaks of love, regret, and learning to piece yourself back together again.

Out now, ‘The Bend’ adds something new to this chapter of King Princess’ work, while also standing as a terrific pop moment in its own right.

The track appears on new compilation C23, pieced together by NME and Bose; it’s a 15 tracker that builds on the lineage established by seminal tapes C81 and C86 while also looking to the current iteration of DIY pop artists. Elsewhere on the eclectic tape you’ll find tracks from 070 Shake, Flo Milli, Jockstrap, Genesis Owusu, and more.
