Kim Gordon has shared her powerfully distorted new single 'Hungry Baby'.
The Sonic Youth icon returns this week, with her new album - her first official solo LP - 'No Home Record' landing on October 11th via Matador Records.
Produced largely by Justin Raisen, Kim Gordon's choice of norm-core imagery masks some of the most challenging, visceral, and uncompromising music of her career.
New single 'Hungry Baby' is a case in point - the rhythm is this kind of unrelenting Bo Diddley shuffle viewed through a No Wave lens, with wild, feedback driven guitar screaming in the background.
Kim Gordon's half-spoken, half-sung vocal taps into rock 'n' roll's primeval unconscious, while charting a path towards a metallic future.
Truly, this is next level stuff. Tune in now.
