Kim Gordon Announces Solo Album ‘The Collective’

New single 'BYE BYE' is out now...

Kim Gordon will release new solo album ‘The Collective’ on March 8th.

A titan of American left-field music, art, and fashion, Kim Gordon made her solo debut in 2019 with ‘No Home Record’. Applauded on its release, Clash wrote at the time:

A record fascinated by destruction and renewal, ‘No Home Record’ looks resolutely to the future, embracing what is possible, rather than what is safe. It’s a record that makes incisions into the staid, one that knocks over the steadfast; it’s a bold, thrilling construction, one that pushes her history to one side in order to build anew.

New album ‘The Collective’ continues her solo journey, and it lands on March 8th through Matador Records. The project furthers her collaboration with producer Justin Raisen, with additional production from Anthony Paul Lopez.

The full 11-track record is available to pre-order now, while new single ‘BYE BYE’ is out on streaming. A bold, visceral return, the video was directed by photographer and filmmaker Clara Balzary, with cinematography by Christopher Blauvelt.

Kim’s daughter Coco Gordon Moore takes the central role, and you can check it out below.
