Kim Deal Announces Solo Album ‘Nobody Loves You More’

It's out on November 22nd...

Kim Deal will release new solo album ‘Nobody Loves You More’ on November 22nd.

A key component of PIXIES’ seminal run, and a co-pilot with The Breeders, Kim Deal is a defining figure in indie rock. Now she’s set to turn solo – presenting the first full studio album under her own name.

Out on November 22nd, ‘Nobody Loves You More’ has been years in gestation. Kim Deal released a five-part, ten-song seven-inch vinyl series in 2013, and some of these songs stem from that period. Others are much later, however – the final sessions took place in November 2022 with Steve Albini, with Kim’s song ‘A Good Time Pushed’ being completed at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago.

There’s a few guests, too. Close friends – including Kelley Deal – pepper the record, while the likes of Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs) and Savages’ Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan also drop past.

Featuring 11 songs, it’s led by new single ‘Crystal Breath’ – ominous electronics blend against Kim’s semi-spoken vocal, a barbed alt miniature that shares a similar spirit of free-thinking that dominates the latter Wire work.
