Killers Sue Manager

Group file counter-suit in legal battle

Massively successful Las Vegas group The Killers have filed a countersuit against their former manager Braden Merrick.

Although the band didn’t win any awards at the recent BRIT ceremony, frontman Brandon Flowers performed with the Pet Shop Boys in the show’s spectacular finale.

The Killers’ legal battle with Merrick began in 2006 when he sued the band for alleged breach of contract. Since then, the two parties have locked horns on a number of occasions.

In response, the band have filed a countersuit against Merrick for alleged breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to Billboard, the band are seeking “multi-million-dollar damages in missed concerts and lost touring revenues, and via the bungling of merchandising and promotional opportunities.”

The Killers are set to kick off their UK tour tonight (February 23rd). The band will play the following (sold out!) dates:

February
23 London O2 Arena
24 London O2 Arena
26 Birmingham LG Arena
28 Cardiff Arena

March
