Las Vegas group meltdown claims

Hugely successful Las Vegas indie stars The Killers could be about to take a break, with constant touring reportedly causing massive ruptures in the band.

The Killers released their third album 'Day And Age' last year which has gone on to become their most successful to date. Spawning the much lampooned but still quite catchy single 'Human', the record was one of the best selling albums released in 2008.

Since its release the band have toured almost constantly. Filling arenas across the UK, The Killers took their roadshow to the United States where they have begun to enjoy much more recognition.

However it seems that the hectic schedule has taken its toll on the band. British newspaper the Daily Mirror reports a source as saying that the band are "sick of the sight of each other" and could soon take a break.

The band are set to play headline slots at T In The Park, Oxegen and many more festivals this summer. However, according to reports The Killers could struggle to maintain their schedule.

“When they started out they were all good friends, but they just don’t seem to get on any more. They are sick of the sight of each other."

“Brandon tries to be a peacemaker but when he loses it the whole band falls apart. They know taking a break could damage their career but they can’t see a way out and they don’t want to split.”

The report goes on to state that the rows are sometimes so intense that the band are forced to travel to shows separately.

However a spokesperson for The Killers has assured fans that the group are getting on well, and are looking forward to their planned summer appearances.
