Killers’ Brandon Flowers Working On Solo Album

'Flamingo' due for release this year

The Killers lead singer Brandon Flowers is to release his debut solo album ‘Flamingo’ later this year.

The Killers have been surrounded in rumour recently. The band have been dogged by speculation that they are to split, with Brandon Flowers said to have become remote from the group’s wild party lifestyle.

A devout Mormon, the singer has always seemed apart from the band. Cancelling a recent South East Asia tour, fans feared the worst for The Killers.

In the end it was revealed that Brandon Flowers had suffered a bereavement, but the cancellation seems to have sparked his independence. The Killers have been placed on hiatus, taking a break from near constant touring.

Meanwhile, Brandon Flowers has commenced work on his debut solo album which is set to be released later this year. A mystery countdown clock appeared on The Killers website recently, leading to fan speculation over what was to be announced.

Brandon Flowers has previously denied any plans to leave the group, with the countdown eventually revealing that he is set to release his debut solo album.

Titled ‘Flamingo’ not much is known about the release, with extra details set to be announced later this year.

The singer is not the only member of The Killers to embark on a solo project. A boozy night in Dublin with Keane saw Ronnie Vannucci forge plans for a new group, with Mt Desolation also featuring members of Mumford & Sons, Noah And The Whale and more.

Mt Desolation will release their debut album later this year.
