Killers Announce 2009 Shows

Band Reveal US Jaunt

Las Vegas indie icons The Killers are set for a busy start to the New Year after announcing a massive tour in the US for early 2009.

The band are gearing up to the release of new album ‘Day And Age’. Brandon Flower’s troops have been busy writing and recording the album, and have been rarely spotted in the live arena in 2008. However, the band did break cover to play a stunning set at the Reading festival, where they unveiled a few tracks from the forthcoming album.

The Killers’ much anticipated album ‘Day And Age’ will be released in the US on November 25th. The band haven’t released a fully new studio album since the globally successful ‘Sam’s Town’ in 2006. Last year The Killers released the compilation ‘Sawdust’ a collection of rarities that included a collaboration with Lou Reed.

The new US tour kicks off in Denver on January 17th and finishes in the Grand Prairie, Texas on February 4th. Along the way The Killers are set to play the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and the massive New York venue Madison Square Garden.

The Killers release ‘Day And Age’ in the US on November 25th.
