Las Vegas indie titans The Killers are set to return with their new album, which according to reports will be called “Day And Age”.
Although the band haven’t confirmed details, reports suggest that the follow up to 2006’s effort “Sam’s Town” will be released later this year. Apparently titled “Day And Age”, this news follows an interview in which Brandon Flowers hinted at a new direction, inspired by Roy Orbison’s classic “I Drove All Night”. But we’re betting it will probably still sound like The Killers.
The band released debut album “Hot Fuss” in 2004, with their synth drenched disco sound cutting a swathe through the music scene. With critical acclaim and a massive fan base, The Killers album is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year.
The Killers are set to play a headline slot at the Reading and Leeds festival later this month, with the album reportedly already in the can. There is no release date set for “Day And Age”.
