Kevin Abstract has shared new single ‘Running Out’.
The LA-based hyphenate has shared plans for his new solo album, the first since the cessation of BROCKHAMPTON. Out on November 3rd, ‘Blanket’ stretches the boundaries of his art even further, introducing alt aspects on lead singles like ‘What Should I Do?’ and its accompanying video ‘SLIP N SLIDE‘.
Album cut ‘Gum’ verges on rock, while new single ‘Running Out’ embraces a real physicality of sound, Kevin Abstract illustrating his prowess as a sound technician.
A fully three-dimensional piece of future-chasing pop music, ‘Running Out’ opens with those whispered vocals, something straight out of a horror movie. The pounding drums then kick in, and the song becomes an anthem of defiance, an ode to the power of escape.
Tune in now.
‘Blanket’ will be released on November 3rd.
