Deep house legend Kerri Chandler is set to appear at a special event marking the opening of a new Xile shop in Glasgow.
Summer’s here, and with it continuing texts and calls about games down the park. Everything from football to frisbee will be the order of the day, and those skinny jeans aren’t going to cut it during ‘friendly’ games.
Based in Denmark, Hummel makes specialist clothing which is both stylish and adaptable. Celebrity fans include Katie White of The Ting Tings, who often wears the brand when leaping around onstage.
Extremely flexible, the Hummel brand has been spotted in the kit bag of everyone from Basement Jaxx to Tom Deacon. Continuing their British invasion, Hummel have confirmed the opening of their flagship Xile store in Glasgow.
Set in the newly refurbished St Enoch Centre, the show is due to open on May 27th. To coincide with this the brand have organised a party featuring a special set from house music legend Kerri Chandler.
One of the finest names in deep house, Chandler’s profoundly spiritual style is derived from a church upbringing. Legend has it the producer prays before entering the studio, resulting in music which approaches the euphoria of soul or disco.
Intrigued by technology, Kerri Chandler recently opened his own studio and spends long hours tinkering with effects. Making a rare visit to Scotland, Kerri Chandler will keep the crowds entertained at the opening of the Xile store.
A rare chance to catch a genuine house legend in action, Chandler will have plenty of unreleased productions, re-edits and more for the Caledonian crowd.
