Kendrick Lamar is set to release new version of his studio album 'DAMN.'.
The rapper released the album earlier this year, a broad-ranging return that fused his political ire with a raft of guest appearances – including a walk-on role from U2's Bono.
At the time, fan speculation held that a second album would be release, a shadow-piece to the work on 'DAMN.', yet this never materialised.
Now Kendrick Lamar is preparing a new version of 'DAMN.', this time with the tracklisting reversed.
As Pitchfork reports Microsoft's online music marketplace lists a fresh version of the album, complete with new cover artwork.
Intriguingly, Kendrick Lamar said at the time of the album's release that 'DAMN.' had two meanings – one played forwards, the other backwards.
He said: “You listen from the back end, and it’s almost the duality and the contrast of the intricate Kendrick Lamar. Both of these pieces are who I am.”
