Keith Richards Solo Retrospective

'Vintage Vinos' out in November

Keith Richards is set to compile the best of his solo years on the new collection ‘Vintage Vinos’.

For the bulk of the 70s, The Rolling Stones cruised by on a vicious cocktail of drugs. Cleaning out for the subsequent decade, the band succumbed to inner conflict which took them off the road.

Left with nothing to do for long periods of time, Keith Richards decided to embark on a solo career. Signing to Virgin, the guitarist moved into centre stage for three albums which have become cult curios.

‘Talk is Cheap’ (1988), ‘Live at the Hollywood Palladium’ (1988) and ‘Main Offender’ (1992) are curiosities, vital for anyone who wants to get under the skin of the rock legend. Be warned, though, this is far from vintage material!

Working without Mick Jagger, Keith Richards employs a Dylan-esque croon. Moving from country to blues and beyond, the guitarist even hooked up with a troupe of traditional Jamaican drummers.

‘Vintage Vinos’ collects the best from these albums, alongside the little heard acoustic track ‘Hurricane’ which was released in order to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Ending his solo career with a lavish tour, Keith Richards re-joined the Rolling Stones for their epic ‘Bridges To Babylon’ tour.

As a special thank you to fans, anyone who pre-orders a copy of ‘Vintage Vinos’ will be placed in a prize draw, with the winners receiving a signed copy of Keith Richards new autobiography ‘LIFE’.

Set to be released later this year, ‘LIFE’ has already earned acclaim and condemnation in equal measure. The book details the guitarist’s life in music, and reveals some notorious fall outs with Mick Jagger.

Keith Richards is due to release ‘Vintage Vinos’ on November 2nd. Tracklisting:
