Kehlani Marks Return With Summer Anthem ‘After Hours’

The singer ushers in the summer season...

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Kehlani today shares new single, ‘After Hours’.

‘After Hours’ marks Kehlani’s first solo release since acclaimed 2022 album ‘Blue Water Road’, a project that saw them solidify their adult contemporary musings into a cohesive body of work. It featured contributions from industry heavyweights including Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Syd, Blxst, Thundercat, and Ambré.

Produced by Khris Riddick and Alex Goldblatt, ‘After Hours’ samples Cordel’s ‘Scatta’ Burrell’s iconic ‘Coolie Dance Rhythm and sees Kehlani lean into the levity of radio-friendly RnB, upping the ante and ushering in the summer with a frivolous club-inclined track. ‘After Hours’ is expected to be the first of many new releases this year.

Following turbulent phases in their personal and professional life, Kehlani is enjoying a period of stability. This time they’re operating on a higher plane; one that centres joy, healing and fulfilment above all.
