Katie Gregson-Macleod will release her new EP ‘BIG RED’ on October 13th.
The Inverness songwriter has now relocated to London, finding her way amid the metropolis. Last year’s ‘complex’ became a viral breakout moment, earning an Ivor Novello nomination in the process.
Her EP ‘Songs Written For Piano’ followed, with Katie then entering the studio once more to build a follow-up.
Due to be released on October 13th, ‘BIG RED’ continues her rise – songs about relocation, belonging, mental health, and more.
A short UK tour has been arranged, featuring a show at London’s Tabernacle on December 7th.
Ahead of this, beautiful new song ‘Guestlist’ has gone online – lyrically, it’s about over-thinking, and trying to dial back those moments when the inner critic takes control.
As ever, it’s fulsome of melody, and delicately arranged, with Katie Gregson-Macleod displaying an assured sense of control. She comments:
“‘Guestlist’ is at its core a song about my imagination spiralling in the face of a lack of communication…”
Tune in now.
