Launched by Dan Carey at his London studio, Speedy Wunderground brings together disparate talents for often unusual collaborations.
Meeting at the label's first anniversary party, Mercury nominee Kate Tempest soon hit it off with Loyle Carner. "When Dan suggested working together with Kate on something – it was like a dream come true," says Loyle, "that day in the studio with them both is something I'll never forget".
The results are almost here. 'Guts' pits two quite distinct yet complimentary talents against one another, with Dan Carey commenting: "It showcases both of their talents perfectly; it's a call-to-arms. A statement."
Due for release on December 8th, in true Speedy Wunderground tradition Carey has produced a dub for the flip.
