Kate Bush has written secret messages in select copies of her new book.
The tome is an updated version of her 2018 lyric book How To Be Invisible, and is due to be published through Faber. It comes after a remarkable 2022 for the English legend, who soared to a trans-Atlantic No. 1 with ‘Running Up That Hill’ following a key spot in Stranger Things.
Reflecting on a “crazy, roller coaster year” in a message to fans, Kate wrote: “It was such a great feeling to see so many of the younger generation enjoying the song. It seems that quite a lot of them thought I was a new artist! I love that!”
The new edition of How To Be Invisible features a brand new introduction penned by Kate Bush, alongside newly commissioned artwork from Jim Kay.
But that’s not all: the songwriter has also written a special message in selected copies of the signed edition. Penned using invisible ink, the message will only reveal itself when shone under UV light – the books will be distributed at random.
A very limited number of signed copies will be released and can be pre-ordered from selected bookshops and record shops.
