Kate Bush is streaming a track from her first ‘Directors Cut’ new album in almost a decade.
There has probably never been a better time for a new Kate Bush album. Everyone from Florence & The Machine to Esben & The Witch seem to pay unwitting tribute to the seminal performer.
Combining a unique voice with hugely ambitious songwriting, the performer left a devastating impact on pop music. Remaining a much loved talent, news of a possible new album broke earlier this year.
‘Directors Cut’ finds Kate Bush looking backwards over her career, pulling out memorable tracks for a modern re-working.
Due for release this summer, the album is set to be previewed by new single ‘Deeper Understanding’. A classic cut, Kate Bush has confirmed that the track will be available to download tomorrow (April 5th).
A full stream of the new track has emerged online, and has become an immediate talking point with fans. Kate Bush is now much older, with her voice betraying a certain frailty in the upper register.
