Kassie Krut’s ‘Reckless’ Is An Explosive Introduction

Barbed electronics with touches of post-punk...

Brooklyn-based Kassie Krut introduce themselves with new single ‘Reckless’.

The three-piece have emerged from the ashes of some age-old CLASH favourites, convening with a new palette, and a different energy. Kasra Kurt and Eve Alpert were stalwarts in Philadelphia math-rockers Palm, while Matt Anderegg has worked with Mothers and Body Meat.

A series of frenzied East Coast shows caught attention, with Kassie Krut’s dense, charred black take on live-action electronics putting you in mind of Cabaret Voltaire or Factory Floor.

There’s a punk-like sense of attack in their furious sound, with Kassie Krut layering this against a sly, subversive sense of humour.

Snapped up by key New York label Fire Talk Records, Kassie Krut’s new single ‘Reckless’ is out now, and it’s a savage introduction.

A potent, concrete-heavy lump of wiry electronics, it comes with a cool video – part of which was shot in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Tune in now.
