Watch 'Switchblade Smiles' now!

Kasabian are streaming the video for their forthcoming single 'Switchblade Smiles'.

With Oasis out of action, Kasabian are staking a claim to be the biggest guitar group in the UK. Working on their new album, 'Velociraptor!' is the point where the Leicester band make good on their claim or retreat from the pulpit.

Set to be released later this summer, fans are eagerly anticipating new material. Playing a handful of festivals, Kasabian travelled to Scotland's RockNess where they played a couple of unheard tracks.

Typically pulsating, the new material is a mixture of pounding riffs and searing electronics. Lead single 'Switchblade Smile' will be released later this year, with the band now unveiling a video for the track.

An eye catching promo, the video for 'Switchblade Smiles' was directed by critically acclaimed conceptual designer Aitor Throup, who has struck up an ongoing partnership with the Leicester indie dons.

Apparently inspired by a Morgan Freeman interview, 'Switchblade Smiles' received its debut on the Zane Lowe show. Taken from the forthcoming album, you can listen to a straight stream of the single HERE.

Upcoming live appearances include a set at the iTunes Festival in London. Taking place at the Roundhouse, Kasabian could unveil yet more material from their soon to be released album.

"We are very excited to play the Roundhouse for the iTunes Festival. Our last London show was nearly a year ago and they are always very special for us. The Roundhouse is the perfect stage to play new songs to our fans" said the group in a statement.

Kasabian are due to release 'Velociraptor!' on September 29th. Tracklisting:
