Kasabian To Perform ‘Inside Giant Orange’

"It's going to look great."

Kasabian have revealed that they are set to play their upcoming British tour from inside a giant orange.

Spinal Tap. To some: a warning. To others: an inspiration. Leicester giants Kasabian have always flirted with hubris, but the band’s upcoming arena tour contains their most outlandish stage design yet.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the band revealed that they are set to perform inside what looks to be a giant orange. Kasabian have teamed up with a stage designer, using the latest technology to allow the reaction of their fans to determine how bright the stage gets.

Ffrontman Tom Meighan said: “Serge and Aitor Throup, who did our album artwork, and a guy called Nick who’s a fucking genius at lighting, came up with it. It’s going to look great. The idea that the stage will react to fans will be cool. It’s never been done.”

Continuing, the singer revealed that the band are desperate to get back out on the road. “It’s pretty exciting. We want to get in the stride of playing live again. Making the album was easy. Now it’s two years of touring.”

To coincide with the tour, Kasabian are set to release new single ‘Re-Wired’ on November 20th. Watch the video below, then check out the full list of dates after the jump…
