Kasabian have stunned fans by offering a new free download ahead of their upcoming third album.
The Leicester group are set for a busy summer. Kasabian have been confirmed as the main tour support on some massive dates with Oasis, which will see the band play to some of the biggest crowds of their career.
In addition to this the group are set for a busy festival season. Kasabian are set to headline The Great Escape in Brighton soon, and have been confirmed for many other appearances throughout the festival season.
Kasabian spent much of late year working on their forthcoming album ‘The West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum’. Little has been heard of the new material, but the band intend to give fans an exclusive glimpse of their new direction with the free download.
The imposingly named ‘Vlad The Impaler’ is taken from the forthcoming album and will be available as a free download between March 31st and April 3rd from Kasabian’s official website. The song has been written by Serge Pizzorno, and was produced by Pizzorno and Dan The Automator.
“Vlad is a total chaos tune,” enthuses Serge Pizzorno in a statement. “It’s a call out to all our people, the ones who are tuned into our radio station.”
The first single to be taken from the album has been confirmed as ‘Fire’ which is due for release on June 1st.
Kasabian are due to release their album ‘The West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ on June 8th.
