Kanye West Surprise Performance

Rapper appears at Holland bash

US hip hop don Kanye West stunned the audience at a party for designer Henry Holland last night (February 24th) with an impromptu rap.

Kanye West split the hip hop world with last year’s album ‘808s And Heartbreak’. The album saw West forego his celebrated rapping style in favour of singing, using an autotune device to alter his voice.

Garnering praise and criticism in equal measure, the album was followed by the spectacular ‘Glow In The Dark’ tour.

The rapper had attended Holland’s runway show on February 24th, part of London fashion week. West has a well known love of fashion, previously working with Louis Vuitton on a limited edition pair of trainers.

The after party was attended by West and his girlfriend, as well as Agyness Deyn, Klaxons’ Jamie Reynolds, Will Young and more. The DJ played the rapper’s massive hit collaboration with Estelle ‘American Boy’.

West then leaped into the DJ booth to grab the microphone, giving the audience an impromptu rap.

Kanye West recently told the NME he is planning to revamp his website to allow him to share his opinions on all aspects of design. A well known blogging enthusiast, West recently had a world exclusive first play of new material by Peter, Bjorn and John.
