Kanye West Not Guilty Plea

In assault case

Superstar hip hop guru Kanye West has entered charges of not guilty after being charged with battery and theft charges.

Kanye West is one of the most controversial men in hip hop. His talent and ear for a great sample catapulted the star into the upper echelons of the genre but have also generated more than their fair share of detractors.

Earlier this year Kanye West gave an interview claiming to be the most intelligent man in hip hop, with his brains – and not brawn – being the reason he is never beaten.

The star has also been the butt of jokes relating to his possible sexuality and dress sense, which he has attributed to an extension of his creativity. Kanye West recently worked on a special pair of trainers for Louis Vuitton, which made catwalk debut during Paris Fashion Week.

However it seems that Kanye West’s temper may have got the better of him at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) last year.

The star was arrested and charged following an alleged altercation with a member of the paparazzi when leaving the airport last year. West is said to have confronted the photographer, and a fight ensued in which the rapper removed the man’s camera.

Associated Press reports that the rapper was not present when the plea was entered.

Kanye West has been busy of late mentoring Mr Hudson. The indie singer was plucked from relative obscurity by the rap guru, who clearly sees signs of greatness in him.

Mr Hudson guested on West’s controversial album ‘808s And Heartbreak’, released last year. The singer’s own solo album is due for release over the summer, with Kanye West claiming that Mr Hudson is capable of becoming as big a star as Frank Sinatra.

However all that could be over shadowed by the court case. If found guilty then Kanye West could be sentenced to community service or even jail time.

The next date for a hearing in the case is due to take place on July 15th.
