Hip hop icon Kanye West is set to work on the forthcoming debut album by hotly tipped rapper Kid Sister.
Kid Sister is rapidly emerging as one of the most talents new rappers of her generation. Acclaimed by some of the top names in the game, the star in the making has spent over a year working on her album.
An underground hero, Kid Sister delayed her own debut album for a calendar year. The rapper felt the initial recordings were not “cohesive” enough, leading her to go right back to the drawing board.
The new version of the album was produced by electro mix-master A-Trak. The turntablist added some slick beats to Kid Sister’s rhymes, with the finished effort due to be titled ‘Ultraviolet’.
Kid Sister’s long awaited debut will boast some star turns. Kanye West is set to make an appearance on the album, one of the few recordings he has released since his controversial album ‘808s And Heartbreak’.
Kanye West will appear on the track ‘Pro Nails’, while hugely successful singer Estelle is scheduled to appear on ‘Step’.
West has been busy of late working with his protege Mr Hudson. The British singer began life with the combo Mr Hudson And The Library, releasing their debut album back in 2007. The album received lukewarm reviews but Kanye West was apparently a fan, taking Mr Hudson under his wing.
At a recent London show Mr Hudson was joined by Kanye West for a spectacular collaboration, in which the pair traded rhymes like old friends. With his new album due to be released later this year, few would best against further success for Mr Hudson.
Kid Sister is due to release her debut album ‘Ultraviolet’ on October 6th in the United States. Tracklisting is as follows:
