Boy those photographers are really taking their life in their hands right now.
First Lily Allen takes one on after they collide with her car, now Kanye West has been charged after breaking a photographer’s equipment.
The rapper allegedly broke the equipment last September as he left a club in Los Angeles. The City Attorney has now charged West with three misdemeanours – vandalism, battery and grand theft – relating to the incident.
Kanye West has been busy of late, working at Paris Fashion Week with Louis Vuitton and filming his new video. The rapper caused consternation in the United States when he appeared on the show ‘American Idol’ as a mentor.
His album ‘808s And Heartbreak’ famously uses an autotune device which corrects any deviation from perfect pitch. In between all that, the rapper has found time to open a beef with Radiohead and leak the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album. Phew!
Kanye West was charged alongside his manager. If convicted, the pair could be sentenced to jail time with West facing anything up to two and a half years.
An arraignment has been scheduled for April 14th.
