You'd think he'd learn…
When Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's MTV Video Awards speech in 2009 the rapper was transformed into a pariah, enduring all manner of slings and insults from the media and the world at large.
Last night (February 8th) Beck won the Grammy award for Album Of The Year, beating – among others – Beyonce. Kanye West was seen climbing the stairs, seemingly to interrupt the singer.
Speaking to E! News afterwards, Kanye West explained that he believes Beck should give his award to Beyonce in recognition of her artistic success.
“I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists, to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t gonna play with them no more,” he said. ”And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should’ve given his award to Beyonce.”
“Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration,” he said. “And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyonce album and they feel like it takes them to another place.”

UPDATE
Beck has responded with characteristic grace to these unexpected turn of events. Speaking to Us Weekly, the singer insisted that Kanye West deserved to be onstage with him: "I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody," he said.
"How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?” Asked if Beyonce should have won the Best Album award, Beck responded: “Absolutely. I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyonce!”
