Kamasi Washington is set to score new Michelle Obama Becoming.
The film is steered by director Nadia Hallgren and Higher Ground Productions, and offers remarkable insight into the First Lady's life.
A Netflix production, it's out on May 15th with Kamasi Washington brought on board to score the film.
Composing new music for Becoming, the saxophonist also interweaves elements of his multi-faceted catalogue.
“Working with Kamasi Washington on the musical score for Becoming was a dream come true,” says Hallgren. “Not only is Kamasi a masterful musician, he also has a unique sensitivity that he pours into his music. His music reaches deeply into your soul.”
