Kamal. Shares His Soul On New Single ‘free flow’

He switches it up once more...

North West London riser Kamal. has shared new single ‘free flow’.

Out now, the track finds the multi-faceted newcomer changing lanes once more. Recent cut ‘essential’ showcased his musicality, and he doubles down on this for the soulful vocal which permeates ‘free flow’.

A subtle but striking piece of songwriting, ‘free flow’ is dominated by polar mood swings, with Kamal. moving from agony to ecstasy. The reason? Why, young love… of course.

The single rushes to its conclusion, with Kamal. interpolating club tropes within his R&B-soaked songwriting. There’s a neat video, too, shot through with signs of youthful adoration.

He comments…

‘Free Flow’ is a reflection on extremes in the early stages of a relationship; delicately positioned between excessive displays of adoration and deep insecurity. The video’s depiction of stick & poke tattoos is a symbol of this intensity,  and its permanent effects.

Kamal. will release new mixtape ‘so here you are, drowning’ on March 17th.

Tune in now.
