Kali Uchis will release new album ‘Red Moon In Venus’ on March 3rd.
The new project is her second English language album to date, and follows 2020’s ‘Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios)’, which was predominantly sung in Spanish.
Out on March 3rd, ‘Red Moon In Venus’ seemingly deals with love – as Kali puts it, the record tackles “desire, heartbreak, faith, and honesty…”
Her words in full:
“Love is the message. ‘Red Moon In Venus’ is a timeless, burning expression of desire, heartbreak, faith, and honesty, reflecting the divine femininity of the moon and Venus. The moon and Venus work together to make key aspects of love and domestic life work well.”
“This body of work represents all levels of love—releasing people with love, drawing love into your life and self-love. It’s believed by many astrologers that the blood moon can send your emotions into a spin, and that’s what I felt represented this body of work best.”
Contrasting these emotions with astrology, she pivots between lyrical themes while pursuing her own vivid pop-drenched style of R&B.
The full album is available to pre-order now, alongside gorgeous new song ‘I Wish You Roses’. Cho Gi-Seok directs the video, which you can see below.
