Kaleah Lee Unfurls Her ‘Birdwatcher’ EP

A beautiful moment for the Vancouver talent...

Kaleah Lee has shared her enchanting new ‘Birdwatcher’ EP in full.

The Vancouver-based artist touched down in SXSW recently, playing an enchanting set laden with surprises. Blessed with emotive gifts of artistry, Kaleah’s material comes from the heart, and her new EP finds the songwriter at her most cathartic.

Laying her soul down on record, she moved quickly with ‘Birdwatcher’ intended to captures feelings as they passed. “It was just really a time that I got to reflect on where I am and where I plan to go, and how I want to move through the world, which I think I didn’t have as much of an idea of beforehand,” she says.

With a deft intro, the EP hits home with the dulcet title track, and the reflective, wistful ‘Where’d The Time Go?’. Material honed at her intimate live shows, Kaleah Lee closes with the striking imagery of ‘Rotting Fruit’ and climactic statement ‘Wake’.

She continues…

“Making ‘Birdwatcher’ was such a cathartic and freeing experience. I was able to put some of the more pressing things I’ve been feeling over the past little while into one place, while also having so much creative fun and freedom in the process.

“It’s allowed me to understand the importance of being patient with myself while letting nature run its course, and I hope anyone who listens is able to feel held and seen in any way they may need.”

Tune in now.
