Kaiser Chiefs Re-Open Oasis Feud

Guitarist slates Noel Gallagher

Northern indie scallywags Kaiser Chiefs have re-opened their long-running feud with Oasis.

What is it with Oasis and pop rows? No one really does a good musical bitching sessions like the Gallaghers, who in their time have taken on Blur, Starsailor, Osama Bin Laden and the German mafia.

One of the Manchester band’s longest lasting feuds has been with Kaiser Chiefs. The beef started when Noel Gallagher compared the band to the Monkees, before insisting they were like a bad version of Blur.

Kaiser Chiefs took the bait, and after insisting it was a publicity stunt by Gallagher the group got involved in a war of words with the group before singer Ricky Wilson insisted the affair was not worth the effort.

Since then, Kaiser Chiefs have toured America and released their third album ‘Off With Their Heads’. The band are to take a break soon, but seem keen to settle old scores before they disappear off into the sunset.

In a new interview the group’s guitarist Andrew White launched a scathing attack on Noel Gallagher insisting that he doesn’t appreciate music – and even worse, that he is “a bitter old man”.

Speaking to British daily rag The Sun White said “we have no time for him (Noel Gallagher).

“Music is an art but he doesn’t appreciate music for what it is.”

Noel Gallagher has yet to respond to the accusations as he is busy touring the Far East. The Oasis man was recently barred from playing China, but has been able to cause mischief via the internet by posting a blog mocking Madonna’s attempts to adopt a child from Africa.
