Kaiser Chiefs On Bond

Band Attempted Theme

Kaiser Chiefs are celebrating the release of new album ‘Off With Their Heads’, and have revealed that they were almost tempted to write a theme for the James Bond movie.

Released on Monday (October 20th) ‘Off With Their Heads’ is one of the band’s strongest collection of songs to date, and was preceded by the hit single ‘Never Miss A Beat’.

The band were interviewed by Sky News when the topic of James Bond came up, and lead singer Ricky Wilson admitted he was tempted to write a theme.

“Well, how hard can it be singing songs about spying?” Wilson asked, before adding: “I’m a spy, I’ve got two eyes, I don’t even have to try ‘cos I am a spy…”

The band never got around to it however, preferring to record their new album instead. Kaiser Chiefs are fans of the new Bond theme, recorded by Jack White and Alicia Keys, with bassist Simon Rix describing the song as “brilliant, perfect Bond”.

Kaiser Chiefs new album ‘Off With Their Heads’ is released this week.
