Leeds band Kaiser Chiefs will open their hometown’s newest music venue tonight (October 8th) at the new Leeds Academy.
The band will play the former Town And Country Club, marking the beginning of their massive British tour. Opened in 1885 as the Coliseum Building, the new Leeds Academy building is a massive new live music project for the city.
Renovated at a cost of over £3 million, the luxurious new venue aims to be one of the nation’s top night spots. Kaiser Chiefs will open the venue with spectacular one off show, ably supported by Hair and Red Light Company – stars of a recent Clash Live event. Future band’s confirmed for the new Leeds Academy are Brooklyn’s electro pop wonders MGMT and The Streets.
