French electronic maverick Gaspard Augé has shared new solo track 'Force Majeure'.
The musician co-founded Justice at the turn of the Millennium, helping to bring rock kids out on to the dance floor.
A key figure in the evolution of French electro, he's decided to focus on his solo ambitions with a new project.
His debut solo album is incoming, led by new single 'Force Majeure', a bubbling piece of alt-edged electro.
Retaining the bite of his day job while working from a distinct palette, 'Force Majeure' is accompanied by a Filip Nilsson video filmed in Turkey.
“We were really attracted by the epic visual appeal of cymbal making: bronze, fire, hammers – something almost mythological and elemental like Vulcan or the Nibelungen,” he says. “We chose Bosphorus Cymbals because they had this very traditional process that barely changed in centuries, in this video i am just a link in the chain of production and quality control, after all these cymbals have been melted, hand hammered, and lathed into a musical object.”
