Legendary US hip hop act Jurassic 5 are set to release a re-issue of their 1997 debut album on November 11th, it has been announced.
The group shot to fame with their mixture of old school rhymes and onstage energy. Jurassic have gone on to become respected figures within the hip hop community and beyond, but it is with their exciting debut album with which they will be forever associated.
Out of print since 2004 due to contractual difficulties, the newly issued ‘J5 Deluxe Re-Issue’ will feature the original album as well as a bonus disc. The new disc will feature over a dozen rare tracks as well as a DVD featuring footage of the group on their first ever world tour.
Alongside this is a documentary called ‘The Jurassic Period’ directed by Julian Goldwatch, which will be accompanied by a 30 minute live performance as well as the video to signature track ‘Concrete Schoolyard’.
Jurassic 5 will re-release their debut album ‘J5 Deluxe Re-Issue’ on November 11th.
