July Jones Embraces Freedom With ‘Butterflies’

It features GIRLI and Suzi Wu...

July Jones can only ever be herself.

As an artist – as a person – she relishes the truth, and expects the same from those around her.

New single 'Butterflies' finds July Jones taking the spotlight, with the Slovakian artist having written for the likes of BTS and Nasty Cherry.

'Butterflies' is pure, undiluted July Jones, however, and it finds the songwriter laying claim to aesthetic independence.

Erupting out of the speakers, she's aided by two fantastic female artists – GIRLI and Suzi Wu – who lift the song to another level.

July explains…

"Normally every song has a scale, but the chorus of 'Butterflies' isn't in any scale, which is why it sounds so unusual. I'm really making a statement by putting out this song and the fact it features two of my favourite artists, Girli and Suzi Wu, just makes it even more powerful."

Edgy electro-pop that is unapologetically queer, 'Butterflies' comes straight from the heart.

July adds: "I want my fans to know there's a voice for them and not every song has to be about fucking and 'bitches' and alcohol, though it's great to sing about that too sometimes."

Tune in now.
