Julian Casablancas Solo Album Details

Strokes singer prepares for release

Strokes singer Julian Casablancas has revealed more details about his forthcoming album ‘Phrazes For The Young’.

While The Strokes may be inactive, the individual members can hardly be accused of being lazy. Albert Hammond Jr has released an album under his own name, while side projects such as Little Joy and Nickel Eye have kept fans entertained.

However Julian Casablancas has been missing in all this. Aside from a superstar team up with Santigold and Pharrell Williams in aid of Nike the singer has not revealed any solo material as yet.

Recording earlier this year, Casablancas is now preparing to release his debut album under the name ‘Phrazes For The Young’. As yet, not much has been heard of the album but the Strokes frontman did play his first solo show in Tokyo last week (August 29th).

Unveiling a raft of new material Julian Casablancas seemed on good form, even without his band mates in The Strokes. Now the singer has unveiled the front cover of his forthcoming debut album.

In a recent interview with the NME Julian Casablancas confirmed that he is set to tour the UK before the year is out. “It will probably be October, roughly,” he said.

Julian Casablancas is set to release ‘Phrazes For The Young’ before the end of the year.
