Electronic producer-artist Joy Orbison has today shared the official release of ‘flight fm’, out via XL Recordings.
‘flight fm’, the result of a spark of improvised inspiration, was produced in real-time on the way to last year’s Lost Village Festival; road tested through the car stereo on the drive to the event, and played through Lost Village’s Airbase Stage sound system. Animated by a bricolage of stuttering beats, static and undulating bass drones, ‘flight fm’ has proved a highlight in Joy’s sets.
‘flight fm’ follows last year’s acclaimed ‘Freedom 2‘ collaboration with Overmono and Kwengface, and the self-release of ‘archive 09-10‘, a compilation of five early creations that catalysed Joy Orbison’s career.
