Joy Crookes, Vince Staples Align For ‘Pass The Salt’

She's aiming for directness...

UK vocalist Joy Crookes returns with new single ‘Pass The Salt’.

The South London artist melts together neo-soul, R&B, and her own unique pop vision, forging a distinctive, singular sound. Debut album ‘Skin’ was radiant, while a sold-out UK headline saw Joy Crookes complete not one but two nights at London’s huge O2 Forum Kentish Town.

A New Year and a new era, then, with ‘Pass The Salt’ finding Joy turning the page in both a personal and creative manner.

Aiming for directness, ‘Pass The Salt’ is Joy Crookes at her most emphatic, joined by a stellar guest turn from West Coast rapper Vince Staples.

Out now, the UK singer says the song is “about a woman I know vaguely, who is nothing short of an arsehole, who got jealous and started spreading rumours about me.”

Joy adds:

The song is basically me squaring up (musically) and being like ok bitch if u have something to say come say it to my face.
